I think there are a few viewers who will recognize this recreation of a past photo - I guess we should have taken it in black and white!

Fishing in July

Here are the two fishers from this summer. We rented a private cabin just north of Bemidji on Beltrami Lake for a week. Needless to say we ate fish for supper every single day!

There's a good story attached to this last picture. It was too dark to clean the fish so Rick hung the stringer over the dock for the night. When we came out the next morning, only one of five fish was on the stringer and the carcass of one was scattered around the sandy bottom. All we can figure is that some animal helped himself to the bottom fish on the stringer, letting the rest slide off and swim away, with only the the top one being too small to slide over the ring.
Somebody had a good meal!

Summer Visitors from Europe

Mona's family came to stay in early June, before taking her back to Nuremburg: Mona, Leoni, Christine, Jochen.

In July, Gun and Lisel came for a short visit from Stockholm!

Does it get any cuter than this?

This was taken last March, but better late than never! (Click on the photo for better resolution.)
