It's the year of the Ox!

I have the nicest students! One of them had a friend bring these outfits back from China over Christmas. What a gift! Klara had to wear her's to school the very first day!

We made a big feast with friends again this year to celebrate the Chinese New Year; pork wontons, sweet and spicy asparagus, sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli, and rice.

Turkish Delight!

My Turkish students always bring Turkish Delight back for the class after the break, but last spring one of my advises left this Turkish dress behind for the girls too.

Not Quite Laugh Arobics

Rick has the camera at the oddest times!

On Feb. 1st Mona went to live with her second family. We miss her, but we are glad her second placement is still in West Mankato, so we'll still be able to have her around.

Christmas Party #3 (aka New Year's Eve)

Who needs to go to a fancy dance party with entertainment like this?

We started with a Hannah Montana look-alike contest,

with a performance by the winner,

and followed up with a little lounge singing!

(Make sure you play the video to then end; its a good example of the day-to-day with our three year old. Hopefully March and a 4th birthday will bring some relief!)
