Stick it to Cancer

Mankato Women's Hockey entered three teams in this fund raiser up at the big 8-rink arena in Blaine this April. We had a blast, but lost all three of our games. So did our other CIII team (this is the level meant for people new to the game). Our CII team was awesome, but lost in the championship.

Worth the wait?

I planted these iris bulbs in the fall of 2007 and this is the first time they have bloomed!

I guess they were worth waiting for.

We also have a cardinal's nest right outside our bedroom window. We have a front row seat for every development.

Actually they both pulled so hard (or the wishbone was too dry) that the connector part flew off and they both had the same length left over.

Winter Wonderland?

I'm trying to catch up on some of the events that I didn't get to earlier. This is from a weekend during the winter when Chandra and her boyfriend Wilbur came to visit. We took them sledding at Sibley Park. Woohoo!

One rainy day 5 little girls created a spa in our breeze way, complete with mud facials.

Karaoke!

Last week we had the MA graduates over and Nora decided to get Stephanie to sing Karaoke with her. Stephanie is that one you know is going to make a great Kindergarten teacher!
