Mt. Kato

Once again we did something noteworthy with no camera in tow. We went to MSU's annual family night at the ski hill. We took both kids to this event in 2008 and 2009. Last year there wasn't enough snow by the date it was scheduled, but this year we made it again. Klara still needs help on the lifts, but she didn't even need physical help on the first run. Between X-C and skating, she didn't need much coaching, and after about 4 times down the bunny hill, she was ready for anything. I took her down the blue square runs on the back side with no problems (see map link above). We did stop the lift three or four times, however, for lost skis or not getting her up on the seat in time. Luckily it wasn't busy.
