April Fools

Dad! Come quick, hurry! Klara's stuck up in a tree!

List of pranks pulled while I tried to write an essay due the next day:

1. Papers taped to the walls reading "Loser," with arrows pointing to where I was sitting in the office.

2. A "loser" paper taped to my back, laced with really stinky perfume.

3. A truffle wrapper filled with paper and thumbtacks.

4. "Look Dad, Ginger shrank and Ivy grew!" This meant Ginger was taken out of the guinea pig cage and replaced with a Littlest Petshop look-alike figure while Klara put on similar clothes to Ivy's and sat motionless in Ivy's chair. (Ivy is a Chinese-American American Girl doll)

5. "Dad! Come quick, hurry! Klara's stuck up in a tree!" (see above)

6. Toilet seat saturated with Febreeze. (I didn't understand this one)

7. A dollar bill attached to the end of a string, placed quietly under my feet, and then slowly pulled away as if I'd go chasing it. What do they take me for anyway?

8. "Dad! Klara's missing!" (later found at bottom of the clothes hamper)

9. Small tupperware containers all around the office filled with "home-made" perfume. (water and all whatnot)

All I want for Christmas...

Klara, after what seemed like months of wiggling and cajoling, has finally managed to get that top front tooth to come out. She didn't want to pull it, and because she waited so long, it doesn't look like she'll be toothless for very long. See that big chopper coming in? She's very attached to her teeth, so there won't be any visit from the tooth fairy. I don't know where she's stashing them, but she won't give them up!

American Girls

Grandma Jo and Grandpa Tom came for New Year's. The girls were very excited about their gifts. Nora and Kaya got Steps High, and Klara got Ivy. Klara is finally into Nora's dress from China, so Ivy and Klara have matching dresses!
